Crate Everyday Challenge!

I’m so thrilled, I entered the Crate Everyday Challenge challenge this month and was featured on their Blog today! Crate is my favourite paper company, so this is quite the honour for me. The theme was “Thanks” and I am very thankful indeed! I’m going to be smiling ALL DAY!

Here is my layout. I used Crate Paper’s Farmhouse line.

Here’s a close up of the doilies and the Twinery twine tied around one of my pictures. The Crate Paper chipboard button is holding the twine in place. I fussy cut the flowers and used pop dots to give them depth.

Here you can see the misting in the background a little better. I used a Crafter’s Workshop template and a gold Perfect Pearls Mist on cream cardstock. It’s very subtle, but I needed something subtle to offset the other bold colours.

The doily die cuts behind the Crate Paper rosettes were cut with my Silhouette Cameo.

7Gypsies & Crate Paper Printer’s Tray

I hope that you are all enjoying the beginning of Autumn. We’ve had some very nice weather, cooler and sunny – just right as far as I’m concerned.

I haven’t been able to do a lot of crafting lately, but I have managed to create a few key pieces. I just got my hands on Crate Paper’s Random and Farmhouse Collections and was thrilled with decorating this 7 Gypsies Printer’s Tray. It’s now hanging in my kitchen. I love this type of thing, it does double duty as family picture combined with art piece. It helps that I love these two paper collections so much. I have 3 children, so I did two picture of each of them and 6 embellished cubbies.
