My Mind’s Eye, Blog Challenge 28

Another day, another challenge! I have been dying to dig into my new kit from My Scrapbook Nook (I’m not affiliated with them in any way, I’m just an excited Kit Club member), so what a perfect opportunity – a My Mind’s Eye Challenge! Wish me luck!

Here at the details from the My Mind’s Eye Blog.

The challenge: Design a LAYOUT based on this wonderful sketch and use “FALL” as your theme(sketch by Anam Stubbington).

The rules: Use ANY My Mind’s Eye products (current or past) as long as your project has at least 80% My Mind’s Eye products.

The deadline: Add a link to your project to the bottom of this post using inlinkz by Sunday, October 23, 2011 (midnight, MST). Please include your first and last name and project name when uploading. (a photo of your layout or project will show directly in the post)

The PRIZE: The winner will receive three ENTIRE collections of their choice! We will also award an honorable mention winner with one collection of their choice! All winners will be featured in a blog post and have bragging rights!

It’s official, I’m a Queen of Crap! (but I already knew that!)

Scrap Your Crap challenge blog is back with a new design team!  I’m so excited to be a Queen of Crap along with so many other talented crafters! Are you a hoarder? Falling for Autumn (and planning for Christmas)

I have had this paper from Crate Paper’s Lemongrass collection FOREVER! You can get it from Crate Paper’s Overstock Web site for a deep discount! The whole collection kit can be had for $11.50, plus if you are in the U.S. and you spend more than $50 shipping is free. Not bad, eh?

I have been procrastinating on scrapping my Fall pictures from last year. In fact, I haven’t scrapped anything from the Fall of this year, either! Eeek! I’m falling more and more behind as I type this! This picture is of my youngest daughter, she is 21 months old now, so these pictures don’t even look like her anymore! They are awfully cute pictures – I guess I was just waiting for the right time and the right idea to come along to scrap it.

Right now I’m working on an Advent Calendar from Kaisercraft. It’s a pretty big project. I  didn’t realize when I took it on how time consuming it would be! LOL!

Thanks for playing along everyone, and also for following! Don’t forget that there will be another giveaway in October. I plan on doing them monthly!

In the meantime, to get you in the mood for Halloween, here are some witch hats that I created using We R Memory Keepers and K&Company paper, along with a lot of ribbon and cute little embellishments. I got most of my supplies, including the cardboard hats from Michaels. My plan is to put the hats on top of some pumpkins.

I started my blog only 6 months ago, and I can’t believe how much it’s grown in such a short period of time. I’m looking forward to many years of blogging, sharing and reading about everything scrapbook related. I have made new friends online and in person, gained insight, learned a lot of new techniques and fallen in love with products that I didn’t know about before. I  have grown creatively by leaps and bounds, and I hope to continue to do so. It’s true that a Blog is a lot of work and commitment. There is a lot of planning, sitting down to create something worth looking at, editing and so on, but I love this hobby and I love sharing information about it. So now, without further ado, my first monthly giveaway!
