May Arts & Helmar Blog Hop!

Hi everyone! Welcome to the May Arts and Helmar Blog Hop! I would love to share my latest card with you. I created this card with the November Kit from Artful Delight. I also used this month’s card sketch at Artful Delight. Here’s a copy of the sketch. Play along with us on the Artful Delight Blog!

Here’s my take on the sketch. I used two different kinds of May Arts ribbon, my favourites, the Twill Stripe and the Burlap String.Â I adhered them to my card using Helmar 450 Quick Dry, another of my favourite products. If you want to glue a fabric to paper, this is the glue to do it!

Simple Stories Layout for LCOM and an SFTIO Escape Kit Layout

Hi everyone! I thought that I would share a Simple Stories Summer Fresh layout that I blogged about a couple of days ago over at Let’s Capture Our Memories.

This layout is of my youngest daugher in her cute little strawberry bathing suit from Gymboree.Â Unfortunately, she has already outgrown this cute little suit. We were at Great Wolf Lodge in Niagara Falls in these pictures. She loved the outdoor pool and wanted to spend most of her time there. I loved the outdoor pool too, it has a shallow wading-pool area at the front with a tiny slide and some fountains. The toddlers love it. Unfortunately, they also love to poop in it! Ewww! The pool was closed for contamination almost as much as it was open! LOL!

I was so proud of her in that moment. She was pretty proud of herself too! She’s a bit timid, so this was a big deal for her.

Scrapbooking From The Inside Out Blog Hop!

Welcome to the SFTIO Design Team blog hop!

First, I have a layout to share with you using our July kit Communication. Some of you have seen this layout already, as I have already blogged about it, but I had to show it off again. I really like this one. I just snapped a few pics of my kids on our various gadgets (my iPad and iPhone and my eldest’s iPod) in our backyard, knowing full well what I was going to do with the pictures. I love it when impromptu photo shoots turn out well. Coincidentally, our patio furniture coordinates with the October Afternoon 9 to 5 papers. Why yes, I do purchase my patio furniture to coordinate with the latest releases, nice of you to notice!

Each month Scrapbooking From The Inside Out has a theme that helps you as a starting point for your layouts and for your journalling. On the Communication theme, I decided to talk about communication through devices, telecommuting (which is how I ‘get to work’ on most days), talking to animals (a type of silent communication), how art communicates messages and makes us feel and how my daughter never stops talking! There are so many forms of communication and so much that we can say about it.

I’m not allowed to show you the whole kit for August yet, but I can show you a little sneak peek. Don’t tell Rachel that I showed you! LOL! This is a very pretty kit and I’m sure that you’re going to love it! I spy some Pink Paislee, some Cosmo Cricket and is that American Crafts?

The Paper Variety Sketch Challenge

Scrapbook Queens Online Crop, a Sketch & Some Happy News!

Hi everyone! I created this sketch for this week’s challenge over at Scrapbook Queens. We are having an online crop on Friday, April 25, starting at 6 p.m. EST to celebrate National Scrapbooking Day. For those of you living in the Greater Toronto Area and surroundings, we would love for you to join in. There will be prizes, games and fun for all. My Mind’s Eye April Challenge and a Reveal for Scrapbook Queens

I have to keep this really short and sweet because I’m up to my eyeballs in work and there’s no time to play today! LOL!

I didn’t know it at the time, but I created a layout that would work well for this month’s challenge over at My Mind’s Eye. My friend Sherri suggested that I enter it into the Challenge (thanks Sherri!). I haven’t had time to read many manufacturer’s Blogs lately, so I didn’t even know about the challenge! The challenge theme is to create a layout featuring hexagons. It must be 80% My Mind’s Eye products and must have hexagons prominently displayed (check! and check!).
