An Artful Delight Christmas Layout

Hi everyone! Every year we go to my husband’s office holiday party. They have two separate parties, one for the employee’s kids and another for the adults. The kids one is always pretty good and we usually get some great Santa photos there. This layout is of this year’s Santa photo. I couldn’t get individual shots because the line up was huge. I’m pretty happy to have gotten 3 smiling faces looking at the camera!

I used this month’s kit from Artful Delight. It’s full of Christmas themed goodies and perfect for your December Daily, cards or your holiday layouts. I used my Silhouette Cameo to create the two-tone patterned background. I love the bold colours together.

I used quite a bit of Helmar Scrap Dots to achieve the 3D layering effect on the banner at the bottom. I fussy cut the paper out of a single sheet of the My Mind’s Eye paper from the kit and layered the pieces on top of one another using Scrap Dots. It does a great job at getting a more natural looking layering as opposed to using foam dots, which can give a flat look. Those are great for a lot of uses, but it wasn’t what I was going for here.

Speaking of foam dots, I used Helmar’s Zap Dots for the title work which is made up of stickers from the kit and some die cut cardstock, also from the kit. I wanted these to be flat, yet 3D and this was the right product for the job.
